Wilma M. White
Wilma White went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Salinas. Wilma was 94 years old and born September 2, 1918, on the Sarcoxie Prairie in Missouri.
Wilma lived in Salinas for 55 years. Wilma was a member of Crossroads Christian Church (formerly First Christian Church), and was a teacher and Sunday school superintendent for many years. She loved cooking for youth outings and special events. Wilma had the gift of hospitality and hosted many people in her home. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, baseball and spending time with her family, friends and church family.
Wilma is survived by daughters, Sharon Dykes and Janet (Richard) Catt; son, Lyn (Deb) White; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert White; son, Kenton White and daughter, Elizabeth Brewer.
Graveside services will take place Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1 p.m., at Crossroads Christian Church, 1035 Rogge Road, Salinas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crossroads Christian Church Building Fund.
