Stanley Vincent Padd

Stanley Vincent Padd, 92, of Salinas, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014. He was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Mexico, ME.

Stan served in World War II with the U.S. Coast Guard in the Panama Canal.

Stan was was a retired Baker who worked for Von's, Williams Brothers and also owned Heidi's Bakery in Running Springs and Wooden Spoon Pastry Shoppe in Orange.

He will be remembered, as the friendly man driving his red scooter with his U.S. Coast Guard flag and #1 Grandpa sticker.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Wife of 70 years, Grace Padd; son, Wayne (Jan) Padd of Santa Rosa; daughter, Gail (Glen) Hampton of Altadena; daughter, Cheryl (Don) Ferch of Prunedale; grandchildren, Bryan Padd, Jana Davis; Brandon (Courtney) Ferch of Salinas and Eric Ferch (Colette Carty) of Sacramento; and six great-grandsons.

A celebration of Stan's life will be held in September in Prunedale.
