Geneva J. Farrell

Geneva Juanita Farrell was born to Walter and Addie Sexton on March 9, 1930, in Van Buren, Arkansas. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. She was married to Clifford Farrell for 62 years.

Geneva touched many lives working for years in her childcare business and by her generous giving. She will also be remembered for her delicious cooking, beautiful handcrafted creations and warm smile. She was a member of Echoes from Calvary Church in Salinas, where she attended for more than 50 years. She will be truly missed by those who knew her. Geneva's passions in life were her family and her love of God.

Mrs. Farrell is survived by son, Wayne and Sandee Farrell of Salinas; daughter, Linda and David Purcell of Tualatin, OR; sister, Betty Brown and brother, Paul Sexton. She has five grandchildren, Nicholas and Robin Farrell of Long Beach, Dana and Sam Buchmann of Ephrata, WA, Jeff and Marci Purcell of Lewiston, ID, Megan Farrell of Santa Cruz, and Bryan and Mandy Purcell of Savannah, GA. She also has six great-grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Lila, Kelly, Conner and Collin.

She was blessed to have seen all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren within the last eight months of her life.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at the Echoes from Calvary Church, 1025 Post Dr., Salinas, CA 93907.

She will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Clifford, at a later date at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
