Kay Y. Martins
Kay Martins, 82, resident of Salinas for 80 years, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012. She was born January 8, 1930, in Santa Barbara.
Kay graduated from Salinas High School in 1948. She enjoyed gardening, antiques and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kay was also a member of Madonna del Sasso Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Allen Martins of Salinas; daughters, Lynn Parry of Lodi and Carolyn Henningsen of Salinas; grandchildren, Kenny Henningsen, Nicholas Parry, Scott Henningsen, Cindy Tiffany (Parry), Brent Henningsen, and Douglas Parry; great-grandson, Andrew Tiffany; sister, Diane Jackson and brother, Don Francis.
Rosary will be held Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., at Madonna del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Dr., Salinas, CA 93906.
Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of the Central Coast, 2 Upper Ragsdale Dr., Monterey, CA 93940.
