Pamela Louise Yeaton
Pam Yeaton, 58, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at home with her husband, son and her beloved dogs by her side, after a 17 month battle with brain cancer. She was a sweet, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many.
Pam was born October, 25, 1954 in San Jose, and lived the majority of her life in Salinas with her husband and retired to their house in Dewey, AZ late in 2009.
She was a member of the Class of '72 at North Salinas High, started working for the City of Salinas in 1979 while raising her two young children, husband and finishing up her education at Hartnell College. She spent 30 years working for the City of Salinas starting in Finance and retiring as a PC Services Coordinator.
Pam loved spending time with her family whether at home or on vacation. She was a voracious reader, loved crocheting, rescuing dogs, cats and children. She was a 2nd mother to many, too many to name. She loved the 49er's, NASCAR, she also loved and was heavily involved in the sports her children and grandchildren have been involved in.
Pam was preceded in death by her father, Charles Randalls and in-laws, Paul and Gloria Yeaton, all of Salinas.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Paul Yeaton; son, Christian of Dewey, AZ; daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, George McNutt of Spring, TX; and five grandchildren, Tyler, Ezra, Ashlyn, Hannah and Corbin. She is also survived by her grandmother, Erma Tobeck; mother, Loretta Ingersoll of Salinas; sister, Diane Gilmore of Salinas, and brothers, Steve of Prunedale, Gary of San Jose and Taiwan and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends across the country.
Visitation was held in Dewey, AZ for family and local friends.
A Memorial service will be held where her journey with her husband Paul began 40 years ago at Church of the Good Shepherd, 301 Corral de Tierra Road, Salinas, CA 93908 on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 2 p.m.
