Ralph Maciel Herrera, 64, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, in Salinas. Born June 15, 1948, Ralph lived in Salinas all his life and worked in the valley produce for many years.
He also was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Ralph was an avid 49er fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his Harley along with his cousin, Joe. Ralph was a loving, caring, and giving man, who also had a good sense of humor and a great love for his family.
He is survived by his sisters, Hope Herrera, Lupe H. Ramirez, Margaret H. Moore, Della H. Esquer, Sukie H. Hardy, and Genevieve H. Molina; numerous loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 from 1 to 9 p.m., at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas. A Rosary will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m., at the Mortuary.
Chapel Blessing services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 12 noon, also at the Mortuary. Inurnment will be held in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery at a later date.
