Lily Tann Yee Scruggs
Lily, my dear loving wife and best friend, passed away in the early morning of the 4th of July 2013, after showing the world how to fight for her life with dignity for many years.
I will forever be humbled by her strength and indebted to her for her kindness and sense of humor. Lil was born in 1954 in San Francisco as a Giants fan. Her love for her family and friends knew no restraints. She left with the full knowledge of who stayed by her side over the years and who forsake her.
Lil was a longtime employee of Howard Hall Co. Social Security and the pride of her working life, Crown Packing Co.
She loved camping with her three brothers and one sister, along with all the kids and spouses. Lil was an avid walker as well and loved being outside in the yard riding on the back of her Harley, fishing and making road trips to Oregon. She was my constant companion in adventures for 22-years.
Lil was a first generation Chinese American lady with a poor childhood. The loss of her twin sister at four years old, lack of education and a gut strong determination that she would conquer her problems in life with hard work. She did it with honesty, courageousness and the class of a Queen.
We met on Thanksgiving night 1991 when I asked her if there was any sugar for my coffee...she gave me her sweet sugar for the rest of her life. We were married on Valentines Day 2000 at Lovers Point. I am so proud that she was my wife. I will miss her to the depths of my soul. I love you, my wife. Bill
