Todd Eustace Phillips
Todd Eustace Phillips, 46, of Tahoe Vista, passed away September 5, 2013. He was born February 16, 1967 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital in Salinas, CA.
Todd was an active, athletic, and a happy boy throughout his years at Washington Union schools and Salinas High School, graduating in 1985 from SHS where he received multiple awards on championship Cowboy football teams. He was happiest when on the playing field, hunting, or being out of doors. After attending Hartnell, Humboldt State, and the College of the Redwoods Police Academy, his 13 years of work as a police officer for the City of Gonzales garnered multiple certificates of merit for excellent work. He was always generous to, and well liked by the community of Gonzales. In his later years, he held several sales manager positions. When health problems arose, which hampered his job opportunities, he continued to be optimistic about his future, never giving up his hopeful attitude.
Todd is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily Kate Phillips of Shelton, Washington; his parents Drs. June Dunbar Phillips and John Phillips of Tahoe Vista, California; and two brothers, Tim Phillips, of Eagle, Idaho, and Tyler Phillips, of Monument, Colorado.
Private services will be held.
Donations in memory of Todd may be made to the Washington Union Education Foundation (WUEF),
