Martin "Grassman" Trujillo, 35, of Salinas, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. He was born Aug. 10, 1979, in San Jose.
He will be most remembered for his big smile, his sense of humor and his hearty laugh. He was a loving father to his three daughters and was extremely happy about his expecting son due in September. He had a knack of being good with kids of all ages and loved being with his dogs.
Martin is survived by his wife, Lisa of Salinas; his daughters, Marilyn, Destiny, and Celine Trujillo, all of Salinas; his parents, Martin Trujillo Sr., formally of Castroville and his mother, Dolores Parades Lopez of Castroville; and two brothers, Augustine Salas and James Daniel Lopez of Castroville.
Martin will be missed dearly by all, along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and very close friends.
Private services will be held per the family's wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alta Vista Mortuary, in care of Martin Trujillo, to help cover funeral expenses.

I just saw this on Facebook and I remember just like it was yesterday. I knew Martin since he went to school with my daughter in Castroville. He always had a beautiful smile and I worked at Petsmart and he always come in there and buy feed or fish for his fish, I really miss him and I know he was excited because he was having a son. I remember that so clear I just really miss him and the fact that he was a good dad he loved his wife. Everything was going great. Life is not fair so sorry for your loss to the family. There´s a memory has kept alive and that´s awesome ,RIP Sandy

Martin just wanted you to know that you will forever live in our lives and in our heart. I hope you never forget how much you changed our lives the day god decided to take you with him. Life is not the same without you. No one knows how difficult it has been for all of us with out you. I am just happy to know that soon we will reunite.

You and I recently became friends not even 2 months ago and I feel I can speak for the both of us, that it felt like a life time, like we've known each other since we could remember we just clicked and vibe'd like that. I won't forget the first time I met you, you and I and a friend in common were talking about Salinas and the violence and you said "I'm not for the violence, and all that sh*t... I'm a RASTA" You brought laughs into my life as I did to yours. I won't forget the convo's we had about life, the good and the bad, your contagious laugh w/ a smile that matched and your heart of GOLD. I never got to say thank you for the car wax/spray that give's it that "car dealership shine" that you can't find on the shelves made just for black whips (cuz that's how we roll) that give's it that "car dealership shine".
