Arthur H. Hockenberry, 84, Brockway, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at his residence.
Born Nov. 9, 1930, in Irvona, he was the son of the late Allen and Josephine Tubbs Hockenberry. He was married to Beverly Hand Hockenberry on Jan. 1, 1952. She survives.
Art was Methodist by faith.
Retired, he worked for 30 years in the glass industry and owned his own company, Art's Parts.
He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of the American Legion.
He is also survived by a daughter, Carol (Armand) Mazzocchi of Brockway; a son: Steven Hockenberry of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two sisters, Imogene (Lloyd) Truax of Bemus Point, N.Y., Betty (George) Crooks of Jamestown, N.Y.; and a brother, Robert (Linda) Hockenberry of Kentucky. He is also survived by three grandchildren: A. Joseph Mazzocchi of Columbus, Ohio; Nicholas (Catherine) Mazzocchi of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Maria (David) Bream also of Ann Arbor.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with the Rev. Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Research Foundation or the MS Research Foundation.
