Dorothy A. Lindemuth, age 85, a lifelong Brockway resident, died on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, Pa.
Born on April 13, 1930, in Brockway, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Clara A. Shofsthal Lindemuth.
Retired, she had been employed as a packer at Brockway Glass for 36 years.
Dorothy was a U.S. Air Force Korean War veteran, serving from 1952-1955.
She was Methodist by faith.
Dorothy enjoyed taking care of her home, doing yard work, growing flowers and crocheting.
She is survived by three sisters, Anna (Tom) Wylam of Reynoldsville, Florence Lindemuth and Sarah (William) Dinger, both of Mayport, Pa.; one brother, Clarence "Jake" (Galina) Lindemuth of Hamilton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Ishman, Judy Uplinger and an infant sister, Deloris; and three brothers, Blair Lindemuth, Melvin Lindemuth and and infant brother, Richard.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held at noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Leo Cramer officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery at Hazen. Full Military Honors will be accorded Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
