Elsie E. "Betty" Zents, 89, Brookside Lane, Brookville, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Brookside Senior Living, Brookville.
Born Oct. 4, 1925, in Brookville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence W. Dinger and Rose Winters Dinger. She was married to Francis E. Zents on May 5, 1950, in Brookville. He preceded her in death Oct. 12, 2001.
For 41 years she was co-owner and bookkeeper for Zents Brothers Construction in Brookville and also worked for several years at G.C. Murphy Co. in Brookville.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville and she enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Survivors include five sons: Allen (Cindy) Zents of Brookville, Felix (Vicki) Zents of Milton, Ga., Vic (Denise) Zents of Brookville, Zane Zents (fiancée Valerie Wentz) of Brookville, Tracy (Valerie) Zents of Brookville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Corbin and Ethyl Zents; and two infant siblings.
Private services will be held by the family Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville, with the Rev. William Laska officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Rose Township.
