Jacqueline R. Mauthe, 78, Owosso, Mich., formerly of DuBois, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Mich., surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois.
Jacqueline was born July 8, 1936, in Winslow Township, the daughter of Max and Helen Buskirk Hallowell. She married Robert H. Mauthe on June 27, 1979. He preceded her in death.
Jacqueline enjoyed playing bingo, travel, crafts such as beading jewelry and trips to the casino. She looked forward to tanning on her back deck and enjoying a cup of coffee. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She retired from McDowell Manufacturing in DuBois.
Jacqueline is survived by her daughters, Denise (Bob) Genovese of Michigan and Toni (Brian) Herring of Arizona; sons, John (Barb) Hamilton of North Carolina and Joe Hamilton of Nevada; stepsons, Bob (Tammy) Mauthe of Pennsylvania and Jim (Debi) Mauthe of Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Kevin Shaffer Jr., Kelly Shaffer, Cassie Mauthe, Ashley Mauthe, Bobbie Mauthe, Beth Mauthe, Traci Hamiliton, Josiah Harper, Teress Harper, Jon Hamilton, Mandy DiFilipo, Barry Hamilton and Lori Jo Gatzmayer; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Max "Sonny" (Ruby) Hallowell; sister, Bonnie Swan; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Warnick; brothers-in-laws Jack Warnick and John Swan; grandson, Westyn Lee, infant granddaughter, Jessica Mauthe.
