James K. Forsythe, 79, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, Pa., died Dec. 25, 2017, at Penn Highlands Elk.
He was born on June 20, 1938, in Tyler, Pa., a son of the late George and Kathryn (Webber) Forsythe.
On Aug. 1, 1959, he married Velma E. (McClintick), who survives in Weedville, Pa.
Along with his wife, Jim is survived by a son, Todd Forsythe of Weedville; and three sisters, Norma Tinker of Sabula, Patty Stelene of Weedville and JoAnn Claiber of Weedville.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, George Forsythe Jr.
Jim served in the U.S. Military and had worked as a mechanic with Stackpole and Carbone of St. Marys.
He is a member of the Weedville Wesleyan Church and lived all his life in Bennetts Valley.
There will be no visitation.
Private services will be held at the family's convenience.
