Jane A. Leach, 89, DuBois, passed on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at her home.
Born Nov. 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Avice (Mitchell) Anthony.
She married Richard D. Leach on Feb. 5, 1949, in DuBois. He survives.
Jane graduated from the DuBois Area High School and Penn State University, and later retired as a home economics teacher from DASD. Jane was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she was active in many church activities, Eastern Star, DuBois Area Retired Teachers' Association, Bridge Club, and the AAUW. She served as the past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, knitting, flower gardening, traveling, vacationing at Sabula Lake and the beach, and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson, Rocco.
Jane is survived by three children, Richard W. Leach and his wife, Donna, of Buffalo, N.Y., Deborah Fye and her husband, William, of DuBois, and Barbara L. Leach of Carlisle, Pa.; five grandchildren: Thomas Leach, Rebecca Leach, Heather Fye, William Fye and his fiancée, Christina, and Rachael Finland and her husband, Chris; a great-grandson, Rocco Finland; a brother, William A. Anthony Jr. and his Wife, Pam, of California, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Joyce Leach.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, Feb. 26, from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. and Monday, Feb. 27, from 10-11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. A funeral service will follow Monday's visitation at 11 a.m. with Reverends John and Amy Godshall-Miller officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
