John S. 'Jack' Daugherty, 83, Grampian, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born April 4, 1931, in Smicksburg, a son of the late Sloan and Audrey McAninch Daugherty.
Mr. Daugherty retired in 1993 from Crawford Concrete, Rockton, and had previously been employed at Clearfield Cheese Co.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 268, Curwensville where he served as governor for two years. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Daugherty served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ackerson Daugherty whom he wed Aug. 11, 1951, in Marion Center; a brother, Carl E. Daugherty of Waterford; and a sister, Kathryn Dixon of Florida.
As per Mr. Daugherty's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to .
