Joshua A. "Josh" Shimmel, 29, of Reynoldsville, died suddenly in his sleep on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Josh was a paraplegic due to a drunk driver.
Josh was the top of his class at Triangle Tech and is still known for his great welding skills. He had a tremendous love for his girls, working on cars, fixing things, reptiles, and Batman.
He is survived by the love of his life and fiancée, Kylie Hamilton of Reynoldsville; his two daughters, Khloe and Emma of Reynoldsville; his parents, Richard and Anna Shimmel of Sykesville; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Shimmel of Luthersburg; his brother, Justin Shimmel of Brockway; and three step-siblings, Jenessa, Morgan, and Anthony Zaffuto of Brookville.
The family is respecting Josh's wishes and is planning a private celebration of his life in a private service. There will be a GoFundMe account made to help with expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, 50 Broad St., Summerville, Pa.
