Judith Ann (Battaglia) Ramsey, 75, of Winters Road, Brookville, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017, at the Penn Highlands Hospital in Brookville, Pa.
She was born on Oct. 20, 1941, in Brookville, the daughter of Arthur Salvatore Battaglia and Goldie Marie Plyler. On June 11, 1960, she married Earl James Ramsey, who passed away on June 28, 2014.
Judy was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, playing Wizard of Oz on her iPad, and for 37 years selling Avon. She also enjoyed watching her sister Chris bake cookies and she was the one who always put on the icing, but most of all, her life's love was spending time with her husband, family, and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judy is survived by one daughter, Diana Cochran (Raymond) and one son, James Arthur Ramsey, both of Tonawanda, N.Y.; four brothers: Frank Battaglia (Sandy) of Erie, Pa., Art Battaglia (Jean) of Tonawanda, N.Y., Joe Battaglia (Cindy) of Reynoldsville, Pa., and Mark Battaglia (Lisa) of Brookville, Pa.; four sisters: Marie Garris (George) of Clarion, Pa., Georgianna "Georgie" Thomas of Brookville, Pa., Chris Phillips (George) of Brookville, Pa., and Mary Park of Brookville. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Pete Considine, the father of grandsons Robert (wife Melissa), Eric (wife Jackie), and Cory Considine; as well as by grandchildren Michael Paul Cochran and Breann Cochran (Matt Heim), who is expecting soon "Lil Nugget," Judy's first great-grandchild, whom she was very, very excited to see. Also surviving are five generations of nieces and nephews. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Debra Leigh Considine, who passed away Dec. 15, 2015; and four brothers: Donald L., Robert A., Gregory V., and Michael E. Battaglia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home, 153 Jefferson St., Brookville, PA 15825, with a service to immediately follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
