Leo Joseph "Bug Catcher" Moran, 88, DuBois, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Highland View Health Care in Brockway after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Wellsville, N.Y., son of the late Joseph and Alice (Markey) Moran. He was married to Delores (Nulph) Moran; she preceded him in death in 2015.
Leo is survived by a daughter, Mary (Steve) Neal, Penfield; a sister, Regina Haxton of Batavia, N.Y.; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Leo lived most of his life in DuBois. He previously worked for Fairman Drilling Co., enjoyed watching horse pulls and was a member of the VFW, Swede Club and Polaski Club.
Leo was also preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Fields and a brother, Robert Moran.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Private services as well as burial in Lakelawn Cemetery in Reynoldsville will take place on Thursday.
