Lillian Caroline Woomer, 75, DuBois, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in South Carolina.
Born Oct. 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Lillian Faudie Benghauser.
She married Jerome "Jerry" K. Woomer on June 30, 1967, in DuBois. He survives.
Lillian graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1957. She was a homemaker and had been an administrative assistant for Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Lillian was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She enjoyed computer games, traveling, spending time at the beach and spending time with her family. Lillian loved to read and was a member of the book club, "The Page Girls". As a past president, Lillian served as a member of the Maple Avenue Hospital Auxiliary.
Lillian is survived by four children: Deborah (David) Rusonis of Pittsburgh, Jeff (Linda) Smith of DuBois, Andrew Woomer of State College, and Amy (Dan) Harshman of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Stephanie Smith of Erie and Tyler Smith of Pittsburgh; a sister, Polly (Jack) Averill of DuBois; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30 at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastors John and Amy Miller officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
