Marilyn J. Krach, 68, Luthersburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Margret (Shaffer) Gilbert.
On Sept. 12, 1970, she married Larue Krach in Luthersburg. He survives.
Marilyn graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 1966. She was employed as a relief postmaster and in the middle school cafeteria. Marilyn served on the Brady Township Homecoming committee and was a member of the Brady Township Ladies Auxiliary for the Brady Township Fire Company. Throughout the years, she served as a pack mother for cub scouts. She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Luthersburg.
She is survived by her sons: Michael Krach, Gregory Krach, both of DuBois, Kenneth (Mandi) Krach of Harrisburg, and Matthew (Amelia) Krach of Cogan Station, Pa.; five grandchildren: Alexander, Braeden, Brody, Grayson, and Ryland; and seven siblings: Shirley (Bernard) Wells of Luthersburg, Charlotte Wachob of Troutville, Betty (William) McAnich of Mercer, Anna Gilbert of Troutville, James (Joyce) Gilbert of Utah, Dennis Gilbert of DuBois, and Charles (Mary) Gilbert of New York.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Robert; and an infant daughter, Tracy Krach.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, Oct. 13, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. of DuBois. A funeral service will follow the last visitation at 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Jennifer Gonsalves officiating. Interment will be in Luthersburg-Union Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brady Township Ladies Auxiliary or to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
