Patsy L. Gatto, age 84, a resident at Il Villaggio in Brockway, Pa., died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born on May 11, 1932, in Brockway, he was the son of the late Pete and Carmella Bruno Gatto. On Sept. 14, 1957, he was married to Shirley J. Bohren. She survives.
Retired, Patsy was employed as a tool maker at Brockway Glass.
He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
Patsy enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking/carpentry and growing roses. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by four daughters: Cathy (Bill) Himes of Brockport, Sue Gatto of Brockway, Teresa (Scott) Ammons of Connellsville, Pa., Julie (Brian) Cuturilo of Irwin, Pa.; and one son, Michael Gatto of Hanover, Pa. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by a sister, Julia Galluzzi; a brother, George Gatto; and two infant sons.
There will be no public visitation.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery on Wednesday morning by Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion.
