Richard P. Voccola Sr., 86, DuBois, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born April 7, 1930, in McAdoo, he was the son of the late Anthony J. and Esther M. (Berk) Voccola.
He married I. Laura (Moser) Voccola on Aug. 8, 1959, in Tamaqua, Pa. She survives.
Richard graduated from McAdoo High School in 1948 and attended Catawba College in Salisbury, N.C. From 1952-1956, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Before retiring from the Bank of America in 1992, he served as an assistant manager in the loan department. He was a member of the American Legion and First United Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. Richard enjoyed golfing at Treasure Lake, doing yard work, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two children, Linda (Jeff) Smith and Richard Voccola Jr., DuBois; four grandchildren: Stephanie and Tyler Smith and Anthony and Kiersten Voccola, all of DuBois; as well as four great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Reagan, Lincoln, and McKinley. He was the last member of his immediate family.
Friends and family will be received Monday, March 20, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 21, from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc., DuBois. A funeral service will follow Tuesday's visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Sarah E. Sedgwick and LaMarr Adamson CLP officiating. Interment will be in Skyview Memorial Park.
