Ronald E. Carlson, 86, a resident at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Manor.
Born Nov. 25, 1928, in Lanes Mills, he was the son of the late Lander and Alma Swanson Carlson.
Retired, Ron had been employed as a truck driver for Halls Trucking Co.
He was a member of the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church and enjoyed being with and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three sisters: Arlene (Allen) Becker of Brockway, Virginia Landini also of Brockway and Doris Batson of Falls Creek.
Ron is also survived by his very best friend, JoAnn Sasse of Grove City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by sisters: Evelyn, Alice, and Genevieve; and brothers: Carl, Art, Carmen and Leroy "Sonny."
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Friday, July 31, at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Trask officiating. Burial will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery in Brockway.
Memorial donations may be made to the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church.
