Steve Albert Demko Jr., 63, Brookville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Dec. 21, 1951, in Pittsburgh, to the late Steve Albert Sr. and Georgia Mae (Tate) Demko. On Aug. 10, 1987, in Brookville, he married Norma Jean Smith.
Steve served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.
He worked in delivery of medical supplies.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Denise Marie Sandy of DuBois and Janet Rybacki of McKeesport; three sisters: Lenore Demko, Kimberly Thomas, and Jennifer Schipani, all of Pittsburgh; two brothers, George Demko of Pittsburgh and Mark Demko of Brookville; two grandchildren, Cole and Gage Rybacki.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Steiner.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at the McKinney – d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville, PA 15825, with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Friends of Pittsburgh Fisher House, 3945 Forbes Ave. #240, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
Interment is to take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
