Troy Kent Grimm, 52, Markleysville, formerly of Sykesville, died Friday morning, July 25, 2014, of natural causes.
He was born Dec. 17, 1961, in Springville, N.Y.
He was a graduate of Springville Griffith High School.
He was employed most of his life in the oil and gas drilling industry and was one of the drillers involved in the Quecreek Mine Rescue.
Survivors include two children, Jennifer Jacobs (Scott) of Grampian; Nathan Grimm (Dawn) of Sykesville; two grandchildren, Koby and Peyton Grimm of Sykesville; parents Walter and Mary Grimm of Collins, N.Y.; sister Tina Orrell (Lloyd) of Tonawanda, N.Y.; and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Grimm.
His body has been donated for research to the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
A private service will be held for the family.
