Harry William Schoch Jr., 93, of Warren, Ohio died Aug. 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born March 3, 1921, in Troutville, PA, a son of the late Harry William Sr. and Gladys P. Allshouse Schoch. He married Frances Sue (Rudolph) Schoch on June 20, 1948.
He was employed as an assembly line worker at Mullins Manufacturing and Delphi Packard Electric for 40 years combined. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II at the Battle of the Bulge where he earned a Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart.
Harry was an active member of First United Church of Christ where he was an Elder Emeritus, Sunday School teacher, and financial secretary.
He was a longtime Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavaliers fan.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 66 years, Frances Sue Schoch of Warren, Ohio, sons; Ronald (Karen) Schoch, Barry Schoch and daughter, Sharon (Don) Longworth all of Warren, Ohio, grandchildren; Jason (Allison) Schoch, Megan (Sam) Soteriades, David Schoch, Elena Schoch, Lauren Schoch, Danielle (Ron) Saunders, and Jared Longworth, great-grandchildren; Sophie and Cooper Schoch, Amiya Rodgers, Adele Saunders and, sister, Mary Bonsall of Troutville, Pennsylvania. Many neices and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold, Wendell, and Ronald Schoch.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Rev. Karen Binford will officiate. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 7 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2014, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, Ohio.
