David E. DiGiovacchino

David E. DiGiovacchino, 58, of Vineland passed away at home on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer.

David was a member of Vineland Company 3 Fire Department for 35 years and worked as an auto technician at Sears Auto Center for the past 40 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering with his Corvette and his yearly award-winning Christmas light display. Everyone who knew him was touched by his kindness.

He is survived by his daughter and fiance, Jennifer DiGiovacchino and Joseph Hughes of Millville; daughter and companion, Desiree DiGiovacchino and Evan Gurgui of Philadelphia; brother and his girlfriend, Daniel DiGiovacchino and Isabelle Gordon of Vineland; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Toni DiGiovacchino; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Rick DeTullio; aunt, Shirley Bononcini; uncle, Eugene DiGiovacchino; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; cousins and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Bernice (Bowers) DiGiovacchino Jr.

Funeral home visitations will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. and again Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Rone Funeral Service. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. from Christ the Good Shepherd Parish-Church of Sacred Heart, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
