Louella May Simpkins

Louella May Simpkins, 91, formerly of Millville, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, 2013, at her daughter's home in Hamburg.

Louella was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was the heart and center of her family. She was a proud homemaker and loved to cook and take care of children. In her early years she worked as a seamstress for many local businesses and was a former member of the Friendly 15.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin M. Simpkins. She is survived by four children, son Edwin (Clif) Simpkins and wife Sally; daughters Helen Simpkins and Patricia Simpkins; and son Ralph Simpkins and wife Audrey; one sister, Gloria Treen and friend Katie O'Hora; one brother, Walt Treen and wife Georgianna; a sister-in-law, Katherine Treen; her grandchildren, Linda Santos, Diane Macera, Eric Simpkins and Carolyn, Shawn Simpkins and wife Tricia, Danica Earle, Jason Simpkins and Vicky Creamer and Joshua Simpkins; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service today at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
