Michael Cibuliew, 77, of Vineland passed away on Thursday evening, Sept. 12, 2013, in the Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Mike was born in Latvia, immigrated to South Jersey in 1947 and settled in Millville, where he was raised before marrying and moving to Vineland.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. Mike retired in July of 2012 as the school business administrator for the Port Republic School District. His whole career was in education working throughout South Jersey. He was a member of the NEA, NJEA and the School Business Administrators Association. Mike was a longtime member of the St. Nicholas Old Orthodox Church, Millville, and has been attending the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, Vineland.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Josephine (Bruno); one daughter, Michele (Ed) Darr; one son, Paul Cibuliew; two granddaughters, Rebecca and Victoria; two sisters, Irene Bird of Millville, and Genette and Gerald Robeson, Tenn.; two brothers-in-law, Frank (Ruth) Bruno of Vineland and Anthony (Jennifer) Bruno of Warren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland. The church service will be private for the family as well as the church family. His funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 on Monday in the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 2211 W. Landis Ave., Vineland. Burial will be in the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Cemetery, Millville.
