Rex S. Fox, 88 years young, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his Florida home on Monday, April 15, 2013.
He was born in Clayton to the late Gertrude Sutch Fox and Ralph T. Fox Sr. He graduated from Clayton High School and then the University of Maryland. He also served three years in the Air Force during World War II. He was president of the 106-year-old Fox Company, which later became Fox 21 Inc.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol, and his brother, Ralph T. Fox Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Joy and her husband Glenn Daly; his daughter, Holly and her husband Howard Isenberg; his son, Mark; his grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Leah and Michael; and great-grandchild, Mikayla.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for his Maryland Terrapins, the Phillies and Eagles. He will be remembered for his warm smile, infectious laugh and his generous spirit. He raised his family in Vineland. He loved the beach, and split his retirement years between Ocean City and Hypoluxo Island, Fla.
Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, where his funeral service will be conducted at noon. Burial will be private in the Siloam Cemetery, Vineland. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to The First United Methodist Church in Vineland.
