Beverly "Bev" McFadden, 76, of Millville died at home on Monday, April 22, 2013, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Orange, Bev had lived in Millville since 1963. A graduate of Abbington Senior High School, Bev attended West Chester University and received her BA from Glassboro State College (Rowan). Bev had worked for Cumberland County College for more than 20 years and most recently was employed as an aide at Wood School for the Millville Board of Education. Bev was very active in her community, serving as past president of the Millville Jaycee-ettes and most recently a very active member of the Millville Elks Lodge No. 580, where she served as the first female Exalted Ruler for two different terms. Meerwald. Also, whenever the club held a function for charity, you could count on Bev helping out, usually behind the scenes. She also was a former girls softball coach. Bev has been recognized for her contributions to her lodge and community by being named: Millville Elks Officer of the Year (04-05) and Outstanding Citizen for October 2012 by the Millville Chamber of Commerce. Bev had a bubbly personality and will sadly missed by her family, lodge brothers and sisters and many close friends.
