Dorothy Malone, 91, of Vineland passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012, at the Millville Center in Millville.

Born in Philadelphia to Clarence and Gertrude (Cogan) Malone, Dorothy was a longtime Millville resident before moving to Vineland 14 years ago.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Raymond and John Malone; and nephew, Matthew Malone.

Dorothy was a graduate of St. Mary Magdalen School and Millville High School, Class of 1937. She worked at Armstrong Cork for 20 years and Airwork Corp. for 22 years in the budget and expense office, retiring in 1982. She was the chairperson for the Airwork Retirees UAW. Dorothy was an active bowler and traveler. She was a charter member and officer of Tri-Co Women's Bowling Association for over 35 years, and attended many tournaments and conventions. Along with her sister, Gertrude, Dorothy traveled to England, Holland, Belgium, France, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and Hawaii. Dorothy was a volunteer with the Red Cross Blood Bank, the Millville Hospital gift shop, and was a nurse's aide in her teens.

Dorothy is survived by her sister, Gertrude K. Malone; sisters-in-law, Emma Malone of Vineland and Mildred Malone of Sewell; nephews, Lawrence and wife Debbie Malone of Millville, James Malone of Millville, Paul Malone, Arden Hills, Minn. and Michael and wife Ellen Malone of Honolulu; nieces, Patricia Petretti of Vineland and Peg Malone and her husband John Haer of Sewell; and step-niece, Sandra Lithenhaus of Payson, Ariz.

Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish -- St. Isidore's Church, 1655 Magnolia Rd., Vineland, where a funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Millville.
