Haralampos "Harry" Kanos, 66, of Vineland died Monday, March 25, 2013, at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center. Born in Chios, Greece, he moved to the United States in 1969 and came to Vineland.
He was owner and operator of the Spaghetti Palace and also worked as a cook for the Presidential Diner and the Neptune. He was a member of the Diamond Social Club and the AHEPA Greek Organization.
Haralampos enjoyed going to the casinos and being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Despina (Lamprinouka) Kanos of Vineland; two sons, Manny Kanos and his wife Angela of Franklinville, and Stamatios Kanos of Vineland; four grandchildren, Haralampos (Bobby), Nicholas, Lukas and Haralampos (Harry); two brothers, Dimitros and Kostas Kanos, both of Vineland; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, 430 W. Wheat Road, Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church. Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S.
