Howard R. Munyon, 89, of Newfield died Tuesday night, Nov. 30, 2010, at Golden Living Center in Scranton, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary McKay. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Howard and Addie Sweeten Munyon. He was educated in New Jersey schools, and prior to retirement, he was employed as a crane operator on the docks in Philadelphia. Howard was an U.S. Army veteran, who served during World War II in the battles in northern France and the Rhineland. He was a member of Teamsters Local No.676.
He is survived by five sons, Robert, Howard Jr., James, Raymond and Patrick; three daughters, Barbara, Theresa and Bernadette; 48 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sons, Joseph, Michael and Alex; and one daughter, Mary. May they all rest in peace with Mom and Dad.
Services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, 240 S. Tuckahoe Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08094.
