Phyllis Langley Montero (Young), 79, of Heislerville went with the Lord on Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013. She passed away peacefully at Inspira Medical Center Vineland.
Phyllis was born to the late Helen Chance and John Young and resided the large majority of her life in Heislerville. She was a longtime member of the Heislerville United Methodist Church. She previously worked at the Woodbine Developmental Center for 15 years.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Earl Langley, who had been waiting for her in Heaven. She will forever be remembered by her children, Constance (Ben) Stowman of Delmont, Christine (Wayne) Bonney of Heislerville, Earleen (Jeffrey) Rentz of Elmer, Jose (Kristy) Montero of El Paso, Texas, Michael, Marcos and Victoria (Steve) Montero of Heislerville, Hary Montero of Elmer; and treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Phyllis loved watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, doing crossword puzzles, watching the news, reading the Bible and Upper Room, talking to her friends, and spending time with her beloved sons Michael and Marcos. Her favorite color was purple. Phyllis touched the lives of many people in the community with her personable nature and faith.
Funeral services will be held at the Heislerville United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Hess officiating. Visitations will be held Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m., all at the church. Interment will be in the Heislerville Cemetery.
