Robert J. Headley Sr., 75, of Pennsville passed away Sunday morning, Aug. 25, 2013, in Cooper University Hospital.
Born and raised in Millville, Robert lived in Bridgeton for 23 years before moving to Pennsville. He was a truck driver for most of his life. He loved country music, old rock and roll and was an avid football fan spending every Sunday viewing football during the season. He was a loving father and devoted husband.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Dorothy (Simpkins) Headley, and a brother, Jerry Headley.
Robert is survived by his wife, Alice (Lamanteer) Headley; son, Robert John Headley Jr.; sister, Helen Headley; and four brothers, Emroe and his wife Linda, Donald and his wife Gail, Eddie and his wife Debbie, and John and his wife Nancy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. There will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
