Madeline Moffa

AGE: 87 • Malaga

Madeline (Gallucci) Moffa, 87, of Malaga, passed away on April 3, 2014 at Inspira Hospice Center. Madeline was born to the late Frank and Jennie (Rossi) Gallucci and raised in Malaga, NJ. She graduated Clayton High School in 1944. After graduation, she worked in the family business, The Dutch Mill Tavern. On January 10, 1948, Madeline married the love of her life, Joseph P. Moffa Sr. of Landisville. Together they had three children, Donna, Louis and Joseph, Jr. Later, Madeline worked for the Franklin Twp. School Board as Director of Food Service for Reutter and Main Road Schools. She enjoyed cooking for her family and doting on her grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, Joe, of 66 years.

Madeline was preceded in death by her beloved son, Joseph P. Moffa Jr. She is survived and sadly missed by her husband, Joe; her daughter, Donna (Moffa) Herman and son-in-law, Dennis of Cherry Hill; her son, Louis Moffa and daughter-in-law, Rose (Cuthbert) of Newfield, and three grandsons, Andrew J. Herman MD, Joseph P. Moffa III and Louis J. Moffa Jr.

A Funeral Home Visitation will be on Monday, April 7 from 8:15am to 10:15am at Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 am on Monday, April 7 at Our Lady Of The Blessed Sacrament - Church Of St. Mary's, 253 Old Dutch Mill Road, Malaga, NJ. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland, NJ. At the family's request in lieu of flowers that donations in memory of Madeline be made to: St. Mary's Parish, C/O Leah Vassallo, PO Box 246, Malaga, NJ 08328.
