Charles Thornley Obituary
Charles Thornley

AGE: 67 • Millville

Charles W. Thornley, Sr., age 67 of Millville, went home to be with the Lord on Thurs. morning, Aug. 7, 2014 in the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland after an extended illness.

Born in Salem, he grew up there and began working for several area farmers at an early age. Most recently he had worked for Rudco Products for 27 years as a spray painter and retired in 2008 on a disability. Prior to that he had worked for Martin Dye and Finishing Co. for 15 years until it closed. Those who worked with him knew him as a hard worker.

He was a member of the Second U. Methodist Church. He could be counted on to volunteer with its chicken pot-pie dinners and various jobs around the church.

He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and hunting and fishing and watching John Wayne and Chuck Norris movies.

He is survived by his wife Marion E. (Brown) Thornley; two sons, Charles W. Thornley, Jr. of Belleplain and Robert P. Thornley at home; his daughter Christine of Belleplain; a brother William Thornley and companion Geraldine Willette of Pennsville; three sisters, Rosalie, Frances, and Millie; and two grandchildren, Julieanna and Elijah, both of Belleplain.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 11, at 11 a.m. in the Second U. Methodist Church, Church and McNeal Streets, Millville.

There will be a viewing in the church from 9 to 11 a.m. before the service.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Millville.

The family requests memorial donations to Joseph Brown, 857 Cross Rd., Schwenksville, PA 19473.
