AGE: 85 • Millville
Joseph E. Prato, age 85 of Millville, passed away Tuesday in Cooper Hospital in Camden. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in the farming community in South Jersey. For many years he worked at Colonial Boat Works. He also worked for Maul Brothers, the Wheaton Mold Shop and most recently for Industrial Supplies, Inc. He enjoyed working so much, he didn't retire until the age of 79.
Joseph loved to travel, especially when it involved camping. He enjoyed dancing, reading and trips to the casinos. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian.
Joseph is survived by: his daughter JoAnn Sparacio and her husband Paul of Pitman; son, Joseph E. Prato, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Sea Isle; sister Josephine Schwegel of Millville; 3 grandchildren, Micah and his wife Stephanie, Matthew and his wife Laureen and Jonathan and his fiance` Rebecca; and 6 great-grandchildren, Eliot, Trinity, Mason, Annanoel, Grace and Lilianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service 10:30 am Saturday in the Barr Funeral Home, 2104 East Main Street in Millville. There will be a viewing from 9 am until 10:30 am Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
