Elizabeth "Bette" Forgnoni (Sheets), 90, of Buena passed away on Tuesday morning, Oct. 5, 2010, in the Cadia Rehabilitation Center, Pike Creek, Del.
Bette was born in Cape May and was a longtime resident of the Vineland/Buena area. She was the daughter of the late Hazel (Westcott) and Frank Sheets, and the wife of the late Robert "Bob" Forgnoni, who died 2005. Bette, along with her late husband, owned and operated Research Glass of N.J., which is still family operated today. Bette was devoted to her family and had many years of enjoyment fishing and boating with them in Cape May. She loved the seashore, and most recently collecting sea glass.
She is survived by two daughters, Saundra Ash of Wilmington, Del., and Donna and husband Nino Lombardo of Vineland; four grandchildren, Don and wife Brendan Ash of Boulder, Colo., Melissa and husband Matt Hoover of Peoria, Ariz., Nicole A. Lombardo of Florida and Michael S. Lombardo of Vineland; two great-grandchildren, Shannan Ash and Sam Hoover; one sister, Mary Ellen Whitney of Cape May; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Brodzik of Vineland and Mary Sheets of Cape May.
Burial will be private at a later date in the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
