John J. Billick Sr., 77, of Vineland passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, Jan. 5, 2012, in Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
John was born in Hazelton, Pa., and raised in Vineland where he remained a lifelong city resident. He was the son of the late Mamie (Lugiano) and Edward T. Billick. He also was predeceased by his stepmother, Agnes (Carter). Before retiring in 1997 with more than 40 years of service, John was employed as a supervisor in the receiving department of Owens-Illinois Kimble Glass Co. in Vineland. John enjoyed golfing and also had coached and served on the board of directors of the North Vineland Little League during his sons' Little League careers. He loved being a "Pop-Pop" to his two wonderful granddaughters. He especially enjoyed his most recent trip to Disney with his family and granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Arlene (nee Cerione); two sons, John J. Billick Jr. and wife April of Washington Township and Michael A. Billick of Vineland; and two granddaughters, Ava Drew and Laina Catherine Billick.
Relatives and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and again from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road., Vineland, where his funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
