Eileen M. Goodwin, 68, of North Delsea Drive, Vineland, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at her home.
Born in Paraguay to the late Frederick and Margaret Taylor Goodwin, she grew up in England and then moved to the United States. She spent much of her life working as a home health aide and volunteered much of her time recently as an advocate for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) in an effort to provide support to needy children.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth, married to Marcus Weaver of Pittsgrove; three grandchildren, Michelle, Milton and Clement Weaver; one sister, Hannah Johnson of Pittsburgh; six brothers, Andrew and wife Ann of Queensland, Australia, Herbert and wife Annette of Rifton, N.Y., Peter and wife Terra of Farmington, Pa., Christopher of Kent, N.Y., David and wife Starla of Shippensburg, Pa., and John and wife Adelle of Farmington, Pa.; and 31 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Matthew.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Vineland Mennonite Church, 1127 W.
