Lorraine E. Brown, 87, of Vineland passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Lincoln Specialty Care, Vineland.
Lorraine was born in Hartford, Conn., to the late Francis J. and Eleanor C. (Andersen) Fitzgibbon. She moved to Vineland with her parents when her father was assigned to Millville Air Base during WWII. Prior to retirement, Lorraine was employed by Ebner Dairies, Frank's Jewelry and Littman Jewelers. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Agnes Altar Guild and vestry. Lorraine was past president of the Vineland Woman's Club, member of Red Cross Motor Corp. and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of several doll clubs. Lorraine enjoyed crafts and reading.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cortland T. Brown Sr., in 2003 and three brothers.
Lorraine is survived by her two sons, Philip F. Brown and his wife Marcie of Hamden, Conn., and Cortland "Bud" T. Brown II and his wife Pamela of Vineland. By her daughter, Deborah E. Hanson and her husband Thomas of Vineland. Also four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Trinity Episcopal Church, 800 Wood St., Vineland, with the Rev. Ellen Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery, Vineland.
Visitation hours are Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Wainwright-Bernhardt Funeral Home, 1024 E. Landis Ave., Vineland and again Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the church.
