Phyllis Ann Miller

Phyllis Ann Miller, 83 of Coldwater passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at her home under hospice care.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Card Cemetery in Coldwater with Chaplain David Szymczak of Great Lakes Hospice officiating. Funeral services have been provided by Dutcher Funeral Home of Coldwater.
Phyllis was born November 20, 1934 to Leland and Mildred (Bates) Layman in Coldwater. Shortly after graduation from
Coldwater High School, she married the love of her life, Floyd Miller on February 10, 1952. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1998. Phyllis was a hardworking wife and mother, spending many years as an aide at the Coldwater State Home. She retired prior to the closing of the facility due to health reasons.
Phyllis was a long-time seller of Avon, though she did not wear makeup herself. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Phyllis always put her family first. She will be remembered as being a people person with an outgoing personality.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her children Jo Ann Miller of Albuquerque, NM, Jack (Alicia) Miller of Corona, CA, and Jerry Miller of Coldwater; her sister Sandra (Ron Easterday) Case of Coldwater; her grandchildren Heather (Steve Richards) Garner, Brandon (Maria) Garner, Lee Ann (Zach) Ratzlaff, Joshua (Kelsey) Miller, Ethan (Nicole) Miller, Alexandra Miller, Kevin Miller, Jessica (Reagan) Pruett, and Camilla (Ron) Murphy; her great grandchildren Canute Ratzlaff, Ellenor Murphy, Billy Murphy, and Lilly Rose Pruett; her nephews Dennis & Brian Case. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 46 years, Floyd Miller.
