Kristopher was born May 27, 1978 in Coldwater, MI to John & Kathleen (Vallance) Summey. He was a great athlete, graduating from Bronson High School in 1996 where he had played football and baseball. Kris married Marjorie-Beth Crabtree on August 4, 2001 in Bronson.
Kris was co-owner of Protective Coating in Bronson where he has worked for the past 24 years. His love of sports kept him playing fast pitch softball for many years on several teams including Horns, Protective Coating and Deals. He bowled on various leagues, enjoyed golf and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Kris was a skilled handyman who loved to tinker and fix vehicles, always keeping busy. He enjoyed movies and playing Xbox but his greatest love was his family, especially his children.
Kris is survived by his wife Margie, his children Zach and Megan Summey of Bronson, his parents John and Kathy Summey of Bronson, his siblings Troy (Crystal) Summey, Katie (Nate) Mittler, Sonja (Pete) Yearling all of Bronson, his grandparents George Summey of Centerville, Rolland Vallance of Coldwater, his mother-in-law Karen Crabtree of Bronson, nieces and nephews Chloe, Deeken, Aden, Alanna, Austin, Codie, Bailey, Shelby and Jaxson, many aunts, uncles and cousins and his Protective Coating and G& W Display families. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, grandparents and aunts and uncles. Memorials may be directed to the Kris Summey Memorial Fund or BYRA Boys Baseball. The family requests those attending to support Kris by wearing Detroit Lions, Tigers or Superman attire.
