Luella Arlene (Houck) Behnke, 90, formerly of Coldwater died Tuesday January 28, 2014 at Lakeland Nursing Center in Angola, Ind.

Luella was born January 26, 1924 in Napolean, Ohio to Bertram Vernon and Mable Josephine (Whistler) Houck. She managed the House of Fabrics in Fort Wayne for 20 years.

She married Bernard William "Bernie" Behnke on June 7, 1942, in Wauseon, Ohio, and he survives.

She was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Other survivors include 1 son; James C.( Roxann) Behnke of Coldwater, Michigan. 2 daughters; Cora Lee (Jerry) Everett of Lebanon, Kentucky and Marcia Louise Bonta of Spencerville, Indiana. 9 grandchildren; Christopher Behnke, Darlene Behnke, Joseph Bonta, Julie Bonta Lowden, Lisa Bonta Laird, Amy Everett Lelli, Sally Everett Walley, Denise Everett and Glen Everett. 25 great grandchildren and 4 great- great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Virgil, Roy, and Ray Houck, 2 sisters; Josephine Amy Knepley and Doris Mae Altman.

Services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Angola at 4 PM., with Pastors Steve & Dave Altman officiating. Visitation will be from 1 - 4 PM Sunday at the funeral home. A private burial will be Monday February 3, 2014 at the Wauseon Union Cemetery in Wauseon, Ohio.

Memorials may be given to the Coldwater United Methodist Church. Services entrusted to H.E. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Angola.
