Marilyn Louise Griffin, 88 of Coldwater passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Maple Lawn while surrounded by her loving family.
In following Marilyn's wishes a private family burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 4 – 6 p.m.
Marilyn was born October 6, 1929 to Lane and Lona (Dygert) Eggleston in Coldwater. She graduated from Coldwater High School.
Marilyn was a hardworking and dependable woman.
She worked for many years as a secretary at Federal Savings & Loan, the Coldwater City Treasurer Gary Doner, and Carriage Inn. On April 9, 1949 she married the love of her life Lewis Griffin in Fremont. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2000.
Marilyn was a woman of faith and a long-time member of the First Baptist Church, where she also served as Treasurer. She loved spending time gardening and reading. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters Sue Enderich of Coldwater and Kathy (Rory) Drew of Panama City, FL; her honorary daughter-inlaw Beverly (Ray) Sebastian of Coldwater; her grandchildren Aaron (Laura) Suever of Overland Park, KS, Heather (Matthew) Garcia of Warsaw, IN, Ryan (Elisha) Enderich of Vicksburg, Matt (Jenn) Drew of Novi, Jessica (Barron) Cline of Royal Oak, Sean Drew of Panama City, FL, and Chris (Tate) Drew of Helena, AL; her great grandchildren Griffin, Darwin, and Emerson Suever, Anjelica, Alex, and Addison Garcia, Landon and Abigail Enderich, Eliana and Avie Drew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 51 years Lewis Griffin; her son Terry Griffin; her daughter Christine Griffin; her brother Max Eggleston and her infant great grandsons Judson & Drew Cline.
Memorials may be directed to the Maple Lawn Activities Fund.
