Wanda J. Borgert, 84, of Coldwater, formerly of Bronson, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Fry Cemetery (located at the corner of Sielkens and Dutch School Rd.) in Noble township with Pastor Shayne Looper from Lockwood Community Church officiating. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
Wanda was born May 16, 1929 in Bronson, MI to Orson & Eva (Modert) Lilly. She graduated from Burr Oak High School and married Arnold D. Borgert on March 8, 1947 in Bronson.
Mrs. Borgert was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and worked for over 15 years at Douglas Manufacturing before her retirement.
Wanda was a member of Lockwood Community Church. She enjoyed golfing and traveling, having spent the winter months in Yuma, Arizona with her husband for many years. Wanda was a gifted artist who loved to paint, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her loving and faithful husband Arnold of 66 years, her daughters Diane (Jerry) Ware of Sturgis, Dorothy (Phil) Helt of Tulsa, OK, Vicki Hanselman of Tecumseh, her grandchildren Jamie Knouse of Sand Creek, Kristi Hanselman of Saline, Michael Hanselman of Tecumseh, Jessica Robb and Jennifer LaPach both of Tulsa, OK, and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Escelie Coler, Eleanor Beery and her brother Max Lilly.
Memorials may be directed to Southern Care Hospice or the hospice of one's choice.
