Nancy Passeri Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 30 to Oct. 1, 2013.

On the morning of Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, Nancy (Bailey) Passeri of Canton passed away quietly at Bradford County Manor. She was 91 years of age.

Born July 18, 1922, in Elmira, N.Y., she was the daughter of Glenn and Leah (Sherman) Bailey. In 1939, she was married to her longtime sweetheart, Eugene "Geno" Passeri, and together they raised a son and four daughters and shared almost 62 years until Geno's passing in March of 2001.

Nancy enjoyed bowling, crocheting, jig saw puzzles, Bingo and traveling. Most of all, Nancy enjoyed the company of her family, and at the age of 90 she was still traveling frequently to visit children and grandchildren in Missouri. She was a woman who possessed a deep, abiding faith in the Lord and drew strength from His Word during life's difficulties.

Nancy is survived by her son, Rudy (Diane) Passeri of Canton; daughters, Ann Glynn of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., Ruth Gates of Chillicothe, Mo., and Judy (Gary) Brown of Canton; brother, Glenn (Mary) Bailey Jr. of Troy; sister, Jackie Wesneski of Canton; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Passeri; granddaughter, Michelle Ragen; brother, Mark Bailey; sisters, Lorraine Warner, Kathleen Terry, Frieda Bailey, Joyce Bailey, Virginia June and Norma Porter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 4 N. Center St., Canton. A service will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Ron Bly officiating. Interment will be Thursday, Oct. 3, in Bradford County Memorial Park.
